It’s July 4th and I’m sitting in McDonald’s typing this blog article. I just completed this Sunday’s sermon outline on the Iphone as well. I’m certain I’ve never been this pleased with the purchase of a product in my life. The Iphone, along with a logitech wireless keyboard, literally replaces my need for a laptop (Finally!) With the 3g network I can browse the web just about anywhere and with the Office2 App I’m able to create, edit, save, and e-mail word documents, excel documents, and powerpoint presentations (sick!) All that for the total price of $125!
The Iphone 3G sells for $50 at ATT with a 2 year contract and the Logitech Keyboard sells for $69.99 at BestBuy. Can’t beat the price for the functionality. If you can live with a small screen this is definitely the way to go. I hope to try preaching my sermon from the phone this coming Sunday. My only concern is that it will ring while I’m preaching
Family Update: This weekend Alexander and I went to see Cars2 in Theaters. It was his first time watching a movie on a big screen. He had a blast and loved the popcorn. He was mentally plastered to the screen and the only movement (which seemed robotic) that I could get out of him was the constant motion of grabbing popcorn, and shoving it in his mouth.
I discovered something about movie theaters this time around that I had never realized before. Those folding seats are kind of a problem. I’ve never had a problem with them myself. However as I watch Alexander fight and struggle to get into his seat, and then wrestle through the whole film to keep the chair from folding up on him I realized this folding chair mechanism isn’t the best plan for everyone.
I don’t have any plans for Independence Day. All I’m going to do today is what I do every day: Live free from the bondage of tyranny. Sure I could watch fireworks or go to a barbecue, but simply living life free is plenty of celebration for me.
Thanks to all the troops stateside, at sea, and in foreign countries who are sacrificing the freedom to live their life, so you and I can live our lives!
p.s. The picture is of Alexander fixing his wagon while Brionna plays on top of it. They will like spend most of their Independence day doing just that!
